Our New Sunset Boat Tour Makes the Keys Weekly

There is always something special about seeing a new adventure come to life, especially when the local community embraces it too. That is why we were excited to invite Keys Weekly to join us on a Florida Keys Food Tour and experience our Sunset Boat Tour in Islamorada.

We were thrilled to see the coverage in a recent paper with a story:

What made the article even more meaningful was seeing how many local voices became part of the story. From our incredible partners such as Captain Key Largo who charters the Poppa Toon on behalf of the Poppa Wahoo Collective, to Stephanie at Ocean View Inn & Pub (OV), the article truly captured the collaborative spirit behind the experience. Even more exciting, both Maggie Mistal and myself (Florida Keys Food Tour Owner) were featured throughout the story, sharing our vision for creating a tour that blends the very best of the Florida Keys into one unforgettable evening.

Because that is exactly what this adventure is designed to do.

Our New Sunset Boat Tour combines three of the best things to do in Islamorada:

  1. Enjoy curated local Florida Keys cuisine
  2. Get out on the water and experience the island lifestyle
  3. Watch one of our legendary Florida Keys sunsets unfold across the bay

That combination is hard to beat. Take a look on our instagram @flkeysfoodtours for an inside look at the tour.

Guests cruise aboard the Poppa Toon while enjoying a relaxed evening filled with local flavors, tropical drinks, island stories, and the easygoing atmosphere that makes the Keys so special. It is part food tour, part sunset cruise, and fully a Florida Keys experience.

One of the things Maggie and I love most about this tour is how intimate and personal it feels too. We live in a small town vibe and with just a handful of guests onboard, the evening becomes less like a large excursion and more like heading out on the water with friends while discovering the flavors and stories of Islamorada together.

We Are Taking Inquiries to Share a Tour

Different than our other tours, we require a minimum of 4 people to set sail (max of 6). Therefore we ask you to contact us if you are a smaller group and want to join up with others.  We are already receiving inquiries from couples, small groups, and visitors looking for something unique to do while visiting the Keys.

So if you are traveling as a pair — or even solo — do not hesitate to reach out. We are actively helping guests join together to create shared departures. We already have interest building for Memorial Day Weekend tours and Saturday May 30th, and we would love to help fill those boats so everyone gets the chance to experience this special evening on the water.

Sunset on the Poppa Toon

This is exactly the type of tour we envisioned when creating Florida Keys Food Tours — authentic local experiences that connect visitors to the food, the people, and the natural beauty of the islands.

And yes… sunsets included.

If you would like to book a sunset boat tour or inquire about joining an upcoming departure, contact us directly and let us know your dates. We will do our best to match you with others ready to set sail.

We cannot wait to welcome you aboard and show you the very best of our island paradise.

Stay loving our Islands, Craig
