Some restaurants become more than just places to eat — they become part of the community, part of our memories, and part of the stories we share with visitors from around the world. For us at Florida Keys Food Tours, Shrimp Shack has been exactly that.

For the past 10 years, Shrimp Shack has been one of the signature stops on our original Islamorada Food Tour, welcoming our guests with incredible food, warm hospitality, and the kind of laid-back Florida Keys atmosphere people never forget. It quickly became one of the most return stops from our guests, and over the years, countless visitors and locals have shared unforgettable meals there.

Shrimp Shack to Close June 6

If you haven’t heard the news, Shrimp Shack will officially close its doors on June 6 after 15 years of serving the Islamorada community. The beloved local favorite leaves behind a legacy of fresh seafood, cold drinks and cocktails, happy hour memories, and some of the best Key West pink shrimp in the Florida Keys.

Now is the time to stop in one last time. Grab a giant fresh-brewed iced tea for lunch, enjoy a margarita at happy hour, or savor those iconic seafood dishes before the final week comes to an end.

One way to enjoy to say goodbye is to celebrate the Shrimp Shack with us. We are offering two special edition tours this Friday and Monday evening at 5:30pm.

The Salute to the Shrimp Shack & Sunset Tour

While the evening will still feature our signature luxury golf cart experience with additional restaurant stops, local stories, and a sunset toast, this tour will spotlight the flavors that made Shrimp Shack such a local legend.

Guests will enjoy some of the restaurant’s most memorable dishes, including:

  • Their famous Shrimp Fritters –  featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives with Guy Fieri
  • The legendary Senator Style Fish  featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives with Guy Fieri
  • The unforgettable Shrimp & Grits, a favorite dish also part of the show, but then prepared for South Beach Food & Wine Festival continuing to work with Guy Fieri and the Food Network.
